Dublin Castle is a major Irish governmental complex, which was once the fortified seat of the British rule in Ireland. Most of the complex is from the 18th century, although a castle has stood there since the days of the first Lord of Ireland, King John.
Ross Castle Killarney is a 15th century edifice built by the O'Donoghue chieftains. It overlooks the Lower Lake in Killarney as well as the 7th century monastery on Innisfallen Island.
The Tait clock was erected in 1867 as a tribute to the Mayor of Limerick, Sir Peter Tait, who founded the Limerick Clothing Factory.It became a huge success and provided a significant amount of employment.
