This small Lutheran church was built between 1788 and 1796. Iceland's independence was first endorsed here. Since 1845, members of cabinet and ministers of every Alping parliament have gathered here for a service.
The Blue Lagoon is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland. Its steamy waters are part of a lava formation and the geothermal complex can be clearly seen from any satellite imagery sources.
