The Spanish town of Santiago de Compostela is supposed to be the burial place of St. James, brother of John, which has made it a site of pilgrimage for more than a century. Besides the cathedral with the Tomb of Santiago, also worth visiting are Obradoiro Square, the Raxoi Palace and the former Royal Hospital. The peaceful, relaxing atmosphere of the town can be enjoyed at one of its many nice restaurants serving cooked octopus, fish, and Albarno wine.
